Due to the Bobcats playing Akron in football this weekend, I decided to drive home a day early to spend some time with my family. As I found out yesterday, today was the yearly meeting of my old high school’s football rivalry, Kent Roosevelt vs. Ravenna. Even though it was raining pretty hard the whole time, I had fun and definitely came away with a greater appreciation for the game. That, and bright stadium lights.

Since I was just shooting the game for fun, I decided to relax and not worry about getting rosters for captions.

With the rain, there was a lot of slipping, sliding and diving by both teams.

One of the main problems with shooting high school sports at night is the lack of bright, even lighting at the fields. You can see how quickly the stadium lights fall off at the endzone.

After shooting action for most of the game, I decided to shoot some features.

When I went to Kent Roosevelt, I played in the drum line for all four years. I’ll end my post today with a shot of the line playing a cadence late in the fourth quarter.

Tomorrow it’s off to Infocision Stadium to shoot the Bobcats as they take on the Zips, and my Dad will be assisting me. Hopefully it’ll be a little drier.
