For the women’s poster, we had one chance to get the whole team together before deadline, so we scheduled the weight room at Peden Stadium for 9:00 p.m. and went in to scout out ideas.

We were going for a tough, intimidating feel, and coach Randall wanted to shoot the poster in the weight room, as the team’s theme this year is “Raise The Bar.” We set up two back lights and a large key light over the camera. Here’s Evan Shaw, director of multimedia marketing at Ohio Athletics, doing a lighting test.

Here’s the final image, both processed and unprocessed. It took a lot less Photoshop work than expected, to the point where I took care of it myself and had it ready for press before heading home after the shoot.
