People often ask me how I cover the events I am assigned to shoot. Very often, photographers will be secretive about their methods and approach to their work. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to document the way I shoot an event as hectic as this past weekend’s homecoming parade and football game. After researching and testing various solutions, I figured out a way to have a GoPro camera document my work on Saturday.
Starting at 9:30am, the camera took one frame every 5 seconds. When I was editing at my computer, I had a script take screenshots at the same interval. I assembled the footage at various frame rates in Quicktime, then combined the clips in iMovie. I mixed in music, courtesy of the Marching 110. Enjoy.

I shot my first volleyball games of the season this weekend. It was nice to get back to the Convo and work on my timing with the strobes.

I spent yesterday afternoon shooting cross country at the golf course with a few other photographers from school.
